EXPECTATIONS AND GUIDELINES
Conduct Guidelines
- Students will treat others in a manner which will not cause physical or emotional harm.
- Students are expected to talk quietly and walk while in the building.
- Students are expected to use appropriate school language.
- Students shall respect school property and the property of others.
- Students will not chew gum in the building or on the playground during the school day.
- Students will not wear hats in the buildings.
Lunchroom Guidelines
- Drink your milk.
- Try the other items on your tray.
- Talk quietly to those beside and directly across from you.
- Do not save or change seats.
- Eat whatever you take from the condiment bar.
- No sharing or trading food items.
- Clean up the table and floor in your area.
- Remember to stack trays & sort silverware.
- Raise your hand to be dismissed.
- Wait quietly in the hallways, serving line, and when returning your tray.
- After returning your tray, go immediately outside for recess.
- Keep your lunch accounts current, please!
Playground Guidelines
- “Hands Off” policy. Keep hands and feet to yourself.
- Walk on the blacktop.
- Running games are for the grass areas only. (No sliding on snow or ice)
- Obtain an adult’s permission before leaving the playground for any reason.
- Passes are required to enter the building, except to use the restroom.
- Throwing rocks, snowballs, dirt, or anything that would injure another is unacceptable.
- Abusive, harassing, threatening, or inappropriate language will not be tolerated.
- Slide down slides feet-first on your bottom.
- Use balance beams, monkey bars, and other equipment correctly.
- Both hands must be on bars at all times.
- No jumping off equipment.
- Stay on the school grounds in assigned areas.
- Always be visible to duty personnel.
- Any other location is off-limits.
- New playground areas are designated as “primary” or “intermediate”.
- Please play in the correct area.
- When the bell rings, students stop, get off the equipment in a safe and orderly fashion, and wait for the whistle.
- Upon hearing the all-clear whistle, students walk to their lines.
At Silver Sage we demonstrate respect at all times! Listen to and follow directions from all teachers and duty personnel. These rules are in effect before, during and after school. Rules are created and enforced to protect us and our friends. Failure to follow rules will result in immediate consequences. Warnings will not be given.
