Both Star and Eagle were communities involved in the creation of Joint School District No. 2 in 1950.  Today, both communites represent growing areas of the district, with several new schools that have opened since 1995 (Eagle Middle, Eagle High, Seven Oaks Elementary, Galileo Math and Science Magnet School).  The district continues to acquire sites for future schools that will serve the Star and Eagle area.
