Lee Alb

1st Grade Magnet Teacher

Lee received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Southern Oregon State College and her Master's Degree in Reading from Boise State University. Lee has taught in the Meridian School district since 1989.  She has taught 1st and 2nd grades at Eagle Hills, Chaparral, and Paramount Elementary schools. Lee is married and has four grown children; three sons and one step-daughter.  She also has four grandchildren.  Her husband Michael is retired from the Idaho Transportation Department. Lee has received formal training in the teaching of the Spalding Phonics Method, and she teaches first 1st grade on the Paramount Magnet Track. 

“Welcome to Paramount! I have received formal training in the teaching of the Spalding phonics method, which I have used in my classroom for 19 years. I have found it to be a powerful tool in developing competent readers and writers.”

Robyn Aguiar
1st Grade Teacher 
Robyn grew up in California and Idaho.  She received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Boise State University.  Robyn has taught for 15 years in the Meridian School District.  She is married to Glenn Aguiar, a principal in Boise and they have 3 fantastic sons.  Robyn enjoys shopping, running, boating with her family, and reading books.
"Teaching first grade is such a wonderful experience where I get to see so many of those "Ah-ha" moments."

Delores Schmidt

1st Grade Teacher

Delores received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Boise State University and has been teaching first grade at Summerwind Elementary for the past 11 years. She previously taught first grade for four years in a private school in Boise. Delores was honored as Teacher of the Year in 2005-2006. Delores has been married to her husband Jay for over 25 years, and together they have three children ranging in age from 16 to 24, and have two grandsons.

“My passions in life have been my family and my teaching. There is a familiar saying that I love: ‘To teach is to touch a life forever.’ In my experience, I have found that the children I have been blessed to have in my classroom have in turn touched my life forever as well. I look forward to a great year of learning and fun as we embark on this exciting journey at Paramount.”

Kristin Confalone

1st Grade Teacher

Kristin received her Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and Psychology from Cal State University, Long Beach, and later earned her teaching certification in Elementary Education from Boise State University. After working for several years teaching pre-kindergarten, she began working in the Meridian School District in 2002. Kristin has worked in the ELL program, as a Title 1 teacher, and has taught kindergarten and 1st grade. Kristin has been married to her husband Steve for 22 years. She is the mother of two fantastic children - son Joe (18) and daughter Sophie (14).

"I am blessed to have the best job in the world! Teaching is both challenging and rewarding, and there is nothing else I would rather do. I am honored to have the opportunity to work with such a wonderful staff."

 

 

Heather Love
1st Grade Teacher

Mrs. Love has lived in many locations due to her father's military carrier. She has an Associate in Arts degree from University of Maryland in Munich, Germany. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana, and has recently completed her Master's Degree in Education.  Heather comes to Paramount Elementary with 16 years experience in teaching. She has taught in both Montana and Idaho. Heather has taught for the Meridian School District for 9 years. She is married to Brad Love and has one child Brady (4yrs.) Heather enjoys cooking and being outdoors.

Karla Davis
1st Grade Teacher
 
Karla has been teaching since 1997.  She received her BA at Cal State Long Beach.  After receiving her teaching credential through Chapman University in Orange, CA she went on to work in the Long Beach Unified School District for 10 years.  Her family moved to Meridian in 2007.  She loves the slower paced lifestyle.  In her free time she enjoys traveling with her husband and three children.  She also enjoys gardening and scrapbooking.
